Here are some photos from my 2 years in Belize.  I was a teacher trainer in R.E.A.P. (relevant education for agricultural purposes). My job was to show the teachers how to plant a garden outside and use math/science/reading etc., to pull it all together in the classroom. I guess I should add that there is a scholarship in my name, Donna Statler Scholarship Fund which is going strong at Kings College (high school in Lucky Strike Village) People just send a check made out to Kings College with a note about D.S.S.F. at the bottom of the check. All the $$ goes to help kids from the villages where I lived and worked! Money double there - $10 US = $20 BZ! The check is sent to: Shirley Castillo PO Box 290 Kings College Belize City, Belize It takes extra postage to mail to BZ – I believe 80¢, and 6 weeks to go through the bank back in the states.. PS Miss Shirley is the principals wife and is in a photo I sent – She manages all the $$, sends receipts back to each donor and lets me know so I can send thank you notes too – Thanks, Donna
